Work-life balance – the path to balance and effectiveness (course held in English)

Annotation:

The program presents ways to integrate work and personal life in order to achieve balance and a sense of meaning across all key areas. It shows how to build and manage personal energy resources for the long-term sustainability of both health and daily activities. It also addresses how to work with stress, reduce procrastination, and increase overall effectiveness.

 

Participants will learn to:


● understand what work-life balance is—i.e. balance across key areas of life—and why it matters
● map their own level of personal satisfaction and identify what influences it
● recognize burnout syndrome, including its causes, consequences, and prevention
● work with their own energy—identify sources, uncover major drains, and learn how to reduce them
● become familiar with the basics of stress management—assessing stress levels, the concept of FLOW, and the causes, consequences, and prevention of excessive stress
● explore their own tendency to procrastinate, understand its causes and barriers, and gain practical tips for preventing and overcoming it
● learn the basic principles and techniques of mental hygiene (self-care)

This seminar is primarily intended for international staff at FLÚ.


The seminar will be held in person in the FLÚ meeting room. Capacity is limited to 15 participants.

    Barbora Rodi, EDUTICA

    Barbora Rodi je lektorkou, facilitátorkou, lékařkou a koučkou, která se věnuje podpoře osobního i profesního rozvoje. Vede workshopy grafické facilitace a kurzy zaměřené na zdraví a udržitelnou výkonnost – například jak lépe spát, jíst, odpočívat a předcházet vyhoření.

    Je autorkou projektu Spím lépe, který pomáhá lidem zlepšit energii a kvalitu života díky kvalitnějšímu spánku. Vedle lektorské práce působí na částečný úvazek jako praktická lékařka a dlouhodobě se vzdělává v psychoterapii. Ve svých kurzech sází na interaktivitu a praktické zapojení účastníků.

    Barbora Rodi is a trainer, facilitator, medical doctor, and coach focused on supporting people’s personal and professional development. She leads workshops on graphic facilitation and courses on health and sustainable performance, covering topics such as better sleep, nutrition, rest, and burnout prevention.

    She is the author of the Sleep Better project, helping people increase their energy through improved sleep. Alongside her training work, she works part-time as a general practitioner and is completing a psychotherapy training. Her workshops are interactive and practice-oriented rather than lecture-based.
